Bishop of Lincoln, political advisor, poet, theologian, philosopher, translator and scientist: Robert Grosseteste (c.1170- 1253) was an extraordinary thinker. His view of the universe was revolutionary- and his role in the development of the scientific method was key. Historian Giles Gasper, physicist Tom McLeish and psychologist Hannah Smithson introduce the medieval polymath and explore how his wonderful imagination is still inspiring modern day science.
