How much do you remember about your favourite childhood book? Could you retell the story to a child right now? How do you recall what you did this morning?
The Memory Network is collaborating with Oxford Story Museum to explore connections between experimental psychology and storytelling. James Ost (Psychology, University of Portsmouth) will restage Fredric Bartlett’s famous memory experiment and Diane Purkiss (English, Oxford University) will join James and Alison Waller (University of Roehampton/ The Memory Network) in discussion on myth, narrative and memories of childhood books.
